TRACS 2021 - CTF of the DGSE
Feedback on TRACS, the DGSE / CentraleSupélec tournament
Challenge Overview
TRACS is a data science, security, and cryptanalysis tournament jointly organized by ViaRézo and the DGSE.
The goal of this competition is a CTF (Capture The Flag), which involves solving as many challenges as possible to gather intelligence and thereby thwart the plans of an organization that could threaten France. ;)
What are my impressions of this challenge?
Honestly, this challenge is open to all students, whether they have a background in computer science or not. Of course, quite a few of the tasks require skills in cryptanalysis and cybersecurity—and inevitably call for familiarity with specific tools—but the most important thing is to practice and improve. ;)
The CRYPTIS Master’s program won the first two editions of this competition, and we fully intend to repeat that feat next time! The next edition takes place on Saturday, December 4th. We look forward to upholding our winning reputation! 💪
